FADE IN A BLACK SCREEN An almost undetectable sound is heard. A faint SIREN? No. A cat's MEOW? No. It gets louder... The LIGHT breaks in. The brownish monochrome face of a homeless man fills the screen. He hops into INT. TRASH DUMPSTER - 1970 - DAY Crying continues. The man tussles discards away from -- A BABY, nestled in trash. He bends over, checks out the baby. The ROAR of a trash truck rumbles dangerously close. He scrambles, SWOOPS up the baby, STANDS and peeks OUTSIDE THE DUMPSTER "DEWEY DISPOSAL" adorns the side of the dumpster. He locks eyes with the trash truck DRIVER as the "WASTE GUARDIANS" TRUCK SCREECHES to a halt. He hoists the baby above his head with both hands. Holds tight.
He scans the signs in the alley, the building, the dumpster.
INT. HOSPITAL EMERGENCY ROOM LOBBY - DAY The TRASH MEN burst through the emergency room doors with the baby wrapped in a Waste Guardian's jacket. The homeless man follows closely behind. He slows.
